random baby bjorn pics

why? because she is so cute...

ah, the baby bjorn... it took some getting used to, but eloise and i have grown to love it. carrying her around keeps us mobile. it gets us into small spaces like the post office and the coffee shop. it also gives eloise the chance to view the world in a different way from the stroller. she's very interested and intrigued by it all, that is, until she falls asleep... and she inevitably falls asleep.

in the last few days, eloise has begun to grab and hold onto objects. needless to say, we are pretty proud.

here's looking at you, kid

eloise and i had a bit of a rough day today. there was some crying and fussing and spitting up. it seemed to all boil down to some digestive issues. just when i was praying for adam to come home early from work, the little one decided to fall asleep curled up next to me on the couch. casablanca was on and it was perfect.

a rainy sunday

it was a rainy day in the slope, but adam & i had our hearts set on scoping out some properties here in the neighborhood. sunday is the day for open houses. we started out just around the corner on 5th street between 7th and 8th ave- a 3 bed/ 1 bath for $925k. it was a dream. completely out of our reach but beautiful. from there we moseyed onto 8th ave. near 10th st.- to a newly renovated 3bed/ 2bath- a 4th floor walkup. we found ourselves criticizing it like we were actually in the market for a million dollar apartment. with all of the rain, getting soaked, and trying to manage keeping both eloise and myself dry while carrying her in the baby bjorn... well, we gave up. we went home and adam made us delicious beet/ goat cheese/ arugula sandwiches. we watched to have or have not and just decided the day would be best spent indoors eating and watching old movies with good one liners...

i love daddy

the cloisters

the trouble with taking eloise out in the stroller is that it's difficult to capture her on camera. and then, of course, she usually falls asleep. adam & i are always joking about how we're going to have to show her pictures of all the places she's been while she's asleep in the stroller. so while we weren't able to really capture in a very interesting way, we did manage to take a few goofy pics of ourselves with meredith and matty...

here's what we were able to get....

turns out the cloisters are not all that stroller friendly. it was actually a huge pain in the ass. we had to keep disassembling the stroller to get up and down all the stairs.

you're really getting bigger

wow. remember when she was a tiny little thing practically swimming in this car seat?

hey you

whoa, look at her pick up her head!
